Burton K. Wheeler Center for Public Policy Lecture Event
The Burton K. Wheeler Center for Public Policy will host a lecture by Nathan Masters, author of Crooked: The Roaring '20s Tale of a Corrupt Attorney General, a Crusading Senator, and the Birth of the American Political Scandal (2023, Hachette Books).
Masters will discuss Senator Burton K. Wheeler's investigation into corruption in the Department of Justice in the 1920s. Masters' lecture will be followed by a panel discussion of Wheeler's career, its legacy and significance, with Masters and Marc Johnson, Wheeler's biographer (Political Hell-Raiser, 2019, University of Oklahoma Press), discussing.
