The 2020 Montana Academic Library Symposium will be hosted by the Montana State University Library in Bozeman, May 14-15.
The staff of the Library are excited to host! During the summer of 2019 the MSU Library moved a portion of its collections to an offsite annex, opening up one floor of the main library building entirely for collaborative work and future spaces for campus-wide partnerships. This symposium will be an opportunity for TRAILS & Montana academic librarians to tour these spaces, learn about the visioning that led to these changes, and share similar information related to projects, initiatives, challenges, and opportunities at your own libraries.
While the symposium itself does not have a 'theme', we are asking presenters to keep in mind key aspects of the 2017 Horizon Report - Library Edition as a framework for our thinking. See the Call for Proposals tab for detail about the central themes of this report.
This website will have content added over time as plans develop. Any questions can be sent to:
Would you like to suggest content to be covered at the symposium but don't necessarily want to present that content? The TRAILS Professional Development (PD) Committee wants to know. Any feedback on content can be sent to the PD Committee Co-chairs:
