The past year has been challenging for all of us & we want to know how folks have been doing! Symposium attendees are invited to submit a few photos and/or 1 short video to share how you are and what you have been up to. Your content can be whatever you wish, maybe a quick -
- “Hi” and wave at the camera?
- Note about your experience this past year – e.g. What have you missed the most? If you worked from home or were holding down the fort on campus - what was good or bad?
- Little jig or expressive dance to welcome spring?
The five submission categories:
- General - Includes the above or anything that doesn’t fit into the below categories.
- Workspaces - Unusual, messy, scenic, or jerry-rigged workspaces (at home or the library)
- Work Colleagues – Your furry/fuzzy colleagues (4 - or 2 legged). (Please include their area of specialization, if known. e.g. data entry, regression analysis, eating.)
- “Mad” Masks - Share your artsy, fun, or unique mask.
- “Got Me Through the Year” – Whatever you might have used or leaned on in 2020. e.g. books, cooking, films, painting, family member, furry/fuzzy work colleagues, skiing, home improvement, scotch, etc.
Submissions will be shared (and may be edited) in a mashup video shown at the Symposium’s closing session. Prizes will be given to winners in each category, plus all who submit will be entered into a drawing for a free year’s membership in the MLA, courtesy of the MT Library Association!
Important notes:
- Anyone from a TRAILS institution can submit photos (up to 4) and/or one video (max of 30 seconds).
- Content may be serious, funny, or whatever. (Profanity is not encouraged, but will not automatically void submissions. ; )
- If making a video, please use landscape mode when possible.
- If there are logos, names, or information that must be included along with the photo/video please include this with your submission.
Please send your photos/videos to pamela.benjamin1@montana.edu.
Be sure to state the intended category for each photo or video submitted.
Entries must be received by 5 p.m. on May 7th (sooner is even better).
Let your creative juices and wry observations flow!
Thank you,
The Symposium Planning Committee!
