What EndNote Should I Use?
EndNote comes in several versions. For MSU users, , bibliographic management and formatting software, can help you manage citations and references throughout the process of writing a research paper.
- Organize references to cite in papers
- Format bibliographies in APA, MLA, Chicago, and hundreds of other styles
- Store references from Web of Science and other databases.
Two versions of EndNote are available:
EndNote Web
- Free for MSU users
- Includes online searching & ability to import citations
- Cite While You Write plug-in for Word
- No more than 9,999 citations
EndNote Desktop (X5 for Mac or Windows)
- Commercial: $232 (via the ITC store for faculty/staff) or $116 for students
- Includes online searching, importing citations
- Cite While You Write plug-in for Word
- Store, mark-up, and attach PDFs & images
- Author, journal, & keyword term lists
- Can modify styles and filters and create your own
- Unlimited citations
