We offer a wide range of services to support students in all stages of the research process. Knowledgeable and friendly librarians are here to help you with narrowing your topic, finding research materials, and citing sources. You can schedule a one-on-one meeting with a librarian, we are available to meet in-person or online whichever works best for you. 

"My laptop or cellphone battery is running out!"

Did you know the library has technology available for checkout? All you need is your CatCard and you can check out items from the Library Service Desk on the first floor of the library.

Types of items we have available:

• Charging cables (phone/laptop and more)
• Graphing calculators (Need to take a test but don't want to clear all the saved files on your calculator? Check out one of ours!)
• Bike locks
• Laptops
• GoPro's
• Digital Cameras

All items are available on a first come, first served basis. 

"I need a quiet place to study."

Need a quiet place to study away from other people? Want to meet with a small group of students in the library? The library has reservable study rooms and tables available for you. There are study rooms on the 1st, 2nd and 4th floors of the library and reservable tables on the 2nd floor. All rooms and tables can be reserved using your NetId and Password and can be reserved up to 8 days in advance for up to 3 hours a day. 

Capacity and Locations:

• 1st floor:
  • Six rooms that are not fully enclosed (rooms 1A - 1F) and accommodate 6--9 people per room. One room (#152) that is fully enclosed and can accommodate up to 10 individuals. One room (VDS) that is not fully enclosed and can accommodate up to 15 people.
• 2nd floor:  
  • Nine study rooms that will accommodate 7 people per room. These rooms are not fully enclosed.
  • Seven large tables in the open areas of the floor (non-enclosed) that allow for 10 people max.
    • Five tables are high tops and are not accessible.
    • Two tables are normal table height and are accessible.  
• 4th floor:
  • One room that allows for 1-2 people max. This room is fully enclosed and has no windows. 
    • Users must have a reservation to use this room.
    • Users must check out a key at the Library Service Desk to use this room.
    • This room is intended for very quiet study, low sensory activities, and contemplative practices.

Technology Available:

• All study rooms on the 1st and 2nd floors are equipped with the following:
  • 52 inch digital display monitor
  • Computer
  • Laptop hookups: HDMI & VGA for screen sharing from personal devices
  • White board
• The reservable tables on the 2nd floor have no technology, but do offer power outlets.
• Room 414 has a desktop computer with a camera and microphone.
