Daily Challenges

The Challenge Series

The MSU Library is hosting an open education challenge series for our students, staff, and instructors to learn more about open education. This series is a fun way to get an introduction to open education in just a few days.  Each challenge is a micro activity that you can do in 10 minutes or less. You can do 1-2 challenges per day. The series starts on Tuesday, March 1, 2022 and ends on Friday, March 11th during OEWeek

Who is this for?

Everyone! The challenge series is open to all. It is designed for anyone new to open education. To help, we've broken the challenges into instructor and students/staff categories. You may have heard about OER, open textbooks, open access, or other forms of open. If you have yet to explore open, this is for you. It is an appetizer of information designed to allow even the busiest and most worn-out of us to still participate.

How to play?

Sign up.  When you sign up for the series, you will receive a daily email with a link to the day's challenge and summary of previous challenges. It will be labeled OE Challenge Series, so be sure to read these. You can also see the daily challenges here on our website. Responses to the challenges can be shared via social media with the challenges' hashtag or by replying via email.

Bring a colleague or friend with you on the journey. It's a great way to learn about open together.

Anything else I need to know?

Did we mention prizes? At the end of OEWeek, everyone who completed all challenges will be entered into a drawing to win some great prizes.  Yes, we have more than one to give away.  So sign up.
