Copyright & Author's Rights
The library can help decipher publishing agreements and assess copyright for publications.
Although we do not offer legal advice, the library can help you navigate copyright, your rights, and your ability to reuse work. Email or call Leila Sterman for help [ext. 4519].
Open Access Author Fund
The Library provides an author’s fund to help remove the barrier between MSU authors and open access publishing. The program was started in 2014 and has funded over 150 articles since its inception through January 2019.
Authors will receive no more than $2,000 per fiscal year on a rolling basis.
Learn more about the library's institutional repository and data management services.
ScholarWorks is an open access institutional repository for the capture of the intellectual work of Montana State University. ScholarWorks is a central point of discovery for accessing, collecting, sharing, preserving, and distributing knowledge to the MSU community and the world.
Authors may send articles, CVs, or questions to Leila Sterman, so that we may assess the copyright of papers for submission into ScholarWorks.
When your research data is ready to be published, the Library can facilitate data publishing and promote discovery.
Use the library's Data Management Planning Toolkit to help you write data management plans to comply with funder requirements.
