How do I find Course Reserves in CatSearch?

You can search for Course Reserves in a few different ways in CatSearch! The easiest way is this:

  • Select 'Advanced Search' from the Library's homepage:

  • Next to 'Search Scope', select 'Course Reserves' from the drop down menu:


  • You can now start typing the title of the item, course name or ID, or the department OR you can use the Advanced Search drop down menu to limit your search:


  • After you conduct a search, any corresponding records will show up in your results list giving your the location of the item:

What if there are a lot of results?

  • If your search returns a lot of items, use the facets on the right hand side to limit by course name, instructor, department, or course ID:

Why should I search the 'Course Reserves' option and not the others?

  • Using the Course Reserves search function allows our catalog to filter out all other materials and only find items that are on reserve. This makes it easier and faster to find items that instructors have placed on reserve for you!
