AISC (American Institute of Steel Construction)
Complimentary membership to 1) students who are currently enrolled full-time in undergraduate or graduate programs at an accredited U.S. university, technical school or vocational school and are studying engineering, architecture or construction management and 2) educators who are currently employed full-time by an accredited U.S. university, technical school or vocational school, and who teaches civil engineering, construction management, and architecture programs.
ANSI Access to Standards for Education
Complimentary access, upon request, for students and faculty to selected standards currently available in the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) collection. Certain standards from the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) may also be made available upon request. These collections are comprised of nearly 20,000 standards, which can be made available to U.S. faculty and students in all disciplines in institutions of higher learning throughout the United States. The American Dental Association (ADA) has also authorized access to a collection of dental standards upon request.

Standards are produced by scientific and professional organizations, trade organizations, and governments, nationally and internationally. In the United States, American National Standards Institute (ANSI) coordinates many standards developing organizations (SDOs). ANSI is also the sole U.S. representative to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC).
