Searching for Images

Searching for Images. Find out about resources you can use at MSU Libraries to find images. Whether you are looking for artistic renderings, photographs, or graphics, there are a number of tools and a variety of strategies you can employ to find them. In this workshop we will explore and experiment with image databases like Artstor, Camio, and MSU Digital Collections, as well as take a look at some web searching strategies in Google and Flickr.

 

Images in the Stacks

Our Book and Periodical collections contain millions of image you may browse, copy, or scan. There is no electronic way to access these images however, so you'll have to do some old fashioned subject browsing and flipping through pages. If you have the will and time though, a whole world (and worlds gone by) of images waits for you within our stacks.
