EndNote Availability

EndNoteEndNote is now available campuswide, free for MSU students, faculty, & staff as of June 24, 2014 thanks to a library subscription. Login with your NetID to dowload the correct installer:

  • Windows
    Unzip/extract the two files into the same directory
    Click the ENX7Inst file to install
  • Mac
    Click on the downloaded .dmg file

EndNote, bibliographic management and formatting software, can help you manage citations, PDFs, and in text references throughout the process of writing a research paper.

Latest EndNote News

EndNote X7 for Windows has been released as of May 2013. Also, EndNote Web has been renamed EndNote Basic and is not free for all users. Those like MSU students, faculty, and staff who have access to the library's Web of Science subscription get expanded coverage in EndNote Basic.

New in EndNote X7 (and see comparison with older versions):
