If you're looking for an item that isn't on the shelf at the moment, or even an item that we don't have, you can place a hold and we'll let you know when it comes in for you! CatSearch allows users to request items three different ways. You can place a hold on an item, order an item from another Montana academic library, or request the item be delivered through interlibrary loan.
Request to have an item located at MSU Library held at the Borrow Desk. In order to place a hold, first:
Request to retrieve a physical item sent to MSU Library from another Montana academic library who is part of our borrowing system. Items may be ordered this way as long as MSU Library does not own the item or it's missing from our shelf.
Request materials from libraries around Montana, the United States, and beyond using Interlibrary Loan (ILL) or request scans of print articles or print book chapters owned by MSU Library.
