- Crazy Like Us: The Globalization of the American Psyche by Ethan Watters by Mary Beth GreenWatters explores the premise that the way the world looks at mental illness has a lot to do with the "importation" of American/Western ways of viewing different syndromes and diseases, including PTSD and schizophrenia. Good for discussion.
- What's Behind Your Belly Button? A Psychological Perspective of the Intelligence of Human Nature and Gut Instinct by Martha Love"What’s Behind Your Belly Button?" by M. C. Love and R. W. Sterling describes a new image of humankind and how gut feelings not only have a psychological intelligence of their own, but are also rational in their functioning on behalf of human needs.
